| Notable Settlements/Awards |
 |
| Workers’ Compensation – In Makuach v. KP Hotel Partners, II, a workers’ compensation judge awarded $100,000.00 in total benefits to a banquet worker who suffered from various back injuries after eight (8) wooden banquet tables that were stacked up collapsed on top of the claimant. The case was significant because the claimant was a twenty-one (21) year old “Lost Boy of Sudan”, which is a refugee group of young men from the war ravaged African country of Sudan. The claimant was rescued and brought to the United States after his father was murdered by the Muslim militia. Shortly after his arrival in the U.S., the claimant worked two (2) jobs at eighty (80) hours per week when he was injured at work. After his claim was denied by his employer, Mr. Gagliano filed a claim petition and a workers’ compensation judge awarded the claimant $100,000.00, which reflected compensation for both of the claimant’s jobs.
Workers’ Compensation – In Williams v. Aramark, Mr. Gagliano recovered more than $105,000.00 (plus medical benefits) for a food vendor who suffered a herniated disc in his lower back after he tripped and fell while working at Lincoln Financial Field during a Philadelphia Eagles football game. |

In DeRohn et. al. v. In the workers’ compensation realm, Mr. Gibbons has procured hundreds of thousands of dollars for clients injured in the course and scope of their employment. Most recently, in Prendergast v. International Services Management Company, Mr. Gibbons recovered more than $140,000 (plus medical benefits) for a truck driver who fractured his leg when he fell from his truck during a routine delivery.
