Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident Occurs in Southwest Philadelphia

A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred in Southwest Philadelphia resulting in one fatality for a victim and serious personal injuries for another. Around 2:00 am, on Monday morning, the car crash took place when the driver of a minivan tried to make a left turn from Passyunk Avenue onto 63rd Street, and then collided with a sedan. The 29-year-old driver of the sedan who was from Georgia succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of the hit-and-run accident while the passenger sustained critical injuries. After the accident, the minivan driver left the crash on foot but was brought into custody by the police.

Reports suggest that excessive speed was a factor in the fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on Monday.
